Our Busiest shipping months were August and September, shipping 150 boxes of peppers those 2 months. Our leading shipping state was Texas with 40 packages, followed by Illinois (28), Florida (18), California (16), and Idaho (13). We have now shipped to all 50 states and 7 Countries.
We also attended 32 farmers markets in Charleston, Oakland, Warren James Winery and Mattoon. We are proud to say that We attended The Farmers Market on the Square in Charleston for 18 straight weeks.
We had 150 plants last year with around 80 different varieties. We sold fresh pods online in the Facebook groups and sold seeds online. At our farmers markets we sold hot sauce, rubs, custom salts, jelly, bread, and cookies. All these products are pepper related with some kind of pepper in each product. We also sold Air plants and custom air plant enclosures. Let’s not forget the stickers! We have a 6’ table full of thousands of stickers.
What is going on in 2025? We are finalizing our pepper crop. We should have close to 300 plants of over 100 varieties. We are adding a 2nd grow location this year because we are outgrowing our current location. We are adding some very exciting varieties like the JP Piranha which has a Scoville rating of 1.75 million. We are adding many varieties of mustard super hots as well as white super hots, along with many other types of super-hot peppers. We will be increasing our farmers markets peppers by growing approximately 15 types of jalapenos and lower heat peppers and 10 different types of habanero and other hot types. We are also adding several types of bell peppers and sweet mild peppers to offer to our farmers market customers. We have decided to discontinue the sale of air plants. Seeds will be started on January 15th right after we return from a much-needed vacation to Mexico!
Thank you to all our customers for supporting us through 2024 and we look forward to seeing everyone in 2025! Thank You.
